About the Flashes
Kent State had its bye in the conference schedule this past weekend and will play for the first time since a 12-4 loss to Robert Morris last Tuesday.
Senior Delaney Robeson leads the lineup in most hitting categories, including hits (35), slugging percentage (.537), home runs (3) and RBIs (27). Redshirt sophomore Kendal Leitner has a hit in eight consecutive games and has a team-best .370 batting average.

Freshman Ella Johnson ranks ninth in the country with 27 appearances and is ranks seventh in the MAC with 44 strikeouts.
Scouting the Opposition
Ohio (22-9, 5-1 MAC) lost to Northern Illinois, 9-1, on Saturday to bring a five-game winning streak to an end. Stellar pitching has been key to the Bobcats' success, as they lead the MAC in ERA (3.06), WHIP (1.24) and shutouts (8). Anna Wise (6-3) leads the way with a 2.06 ERA and Mikie Lieving (7-2) owns a 2.61 ERA. Skipp Miller (9-3) has a team-high 56 strikeouts. All three have thrown multiple shutouts.
The offense is led by the trio of Lauren Yuhas, Brenna Farmer and Emma Hoffner. Yuhas is hitting .361 with 28 RBIs and 12 stolen bases. Farmer has a .350 average and 27 RBIs. Hoffner has recorded a team-high 33 RBIs.
Series History
Kent State is 74-60 all-time against Ohio after losing both games of a doubleheader last season. The Bobcats have taken seven of the last eight matchups overall. This will be just the second trip to Athens since 2019. Ohio took two of three games in that series in 2023.
On Deck
Kent State will celebrate 50 years as a varsity sport this weekend and host Ball State for a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game on Sunday.
