Kent State Soccer Releases 2025 Schedule

KENT, Ohio -ย Theย Kent State women's soccer team has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2025 campaign.
Head coachย Rob Marinaro is set to begin his 25th season at the helm of the Golden Flashes. He is joined by recently promoted Associate Head Coach Jenna Hellstrom and Assistant Coach Heidi Marshall.ย
Kent State's season will begin on Aug. 7 with an exhibition at Mercyhurst. The Golden Flashes then play their season opener at Cleveland State on Aug. 14, with their home opener to be held on Aug. 17 against Duquesne at Zoeller Field at Dix Stadium. Following the opener, Kent State travels to Northwestern on Aug. 24 before returning home on Aug. 28, matching up against Youngstown State. The Golden Flashes close the month with a trip to Cornell on Aug. 31.ย
The Blue and Gold will begin September with their final two non-conference matches at Louisville on Sept. 4, then at Oakland on Sept. 7. The Golden Flashes will get their Mid-American Conference (MAC) schedule started at Bowling Green on Sept. 14 and continue at Ball State on Sept. 21.ย
The Flashes then play five of their next six at home hosting new member of the MAC UMass on Sept. 25, Buffalo on Sept. 28, and Eastern Michigan on Oct. 2. Kent State travels to take on rival Akron on Oct. 5, prior returning home against Ohio on Oct. 9 and against NIU for Senior Day on Oct. 12.ย
The squad then has their final extended road trip going to Central Michigan on Oct. 16, then Western Michigan on Oct. 19. Kent State's final home regular season matchup will be with Toledo on Oct. 23. The regular season ends on Oct. 29ย at Miami (OH).ย
The MAC Tournament will begin on Nov. 2, with the quarterfinals to be hosted by the higher-seeded team. The semifinals will be on Nov. 6 and the final on Nov. 9, with both rounds to be hosted by the regular season champion.ย
