Kent State Earns 15th AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky.โ Kent State Volleyball has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 15th time in program history, as the organization announced recipients for the 2024-25 academic year on Monday.
More than 1,450 collegiate and high school volleyball programs maintained a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale), to earn the award for their classroom excellence during the recently completed academic year.
The Golden Flashes will report for preseason workouts during the second week in August and open season on Aug. 29 at the Florida Atlantic Invitational.
