Louisville, Kentucky- The Kent State Soccer continues play on the road as they gear up for the second contest against a Power-Four opponent this season. They will take on the University of Louisville Cardinals of the Atlantic Coast Conference at the-state-of-the-art Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Last Time Out
The Golden Flashes started out their road trip at Cornell last Sunday, forcing a 1-1 draw against the Big Red.
KSU got on the board early with aggressive play on the offensive end as Josie Morgan capitalized by getting around the left side and finding the middle of the Cornell defense in the 9th-minute for a goal.
Cornell got the equalizer in the 62nd-minute after Brooke Brown blocked a pass on the clear and the deflection landed right in front of the net and she put the ball away to bring the score to 1-1 where it would stay for the remainder of the game. Leah Shaffer once again produced a great game in net, finishing with nine saves.
