CLEVELAND — Kent State junior Mya Babbitt has been named to the All-MAC Second Team and sophomore Emory Klatt has earned Sixth Player of the Year honors, as the Mid-American Conference announced the All-MAC Teams and specialty award selections for the 2025-26 women's basketball season on Tuesday.
Babbitt is fourth in the conference in scoring with an average of 16.2 points per game. She has scored at least 10 points in 23 games, including 10 performances of 20 or more points. Babbitt is one of the top shooters in the MAC and leads the conference with 90.4 percent accuracy from the free throw line and has made 62 three-pointers to rank fourth. She is tied for the team lead in steals (45) and is second in assists (52).
Klatt averaged 6.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while shooting 61.4 percent from the field during her first season at Kent State. She recorded three double-doubles to share the team lead. She was named MAC Player of the Week in January after posting a 17-point, 12-rebound double-double against Ohio and then scoring a career-high 29 points while shooting 11-of-12 to set the program's single-game field goal percentage record (.917).
Kent State opens MAC Tournament play on Wednesday with a 11 a.m. quarterfinal matchup against top-seeded Miami at Rocket Arena in Cleveland.
