
Five Golden Flashes Post Top-10 Finishes Friday at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. – Five members of the Kent State track and field team finished in the top 10 of their events on Friday as competition continued at the Raleigh Relays.
Lanee Hall and Keeli Dunaway led the way by placing fifth and sixth, respectively, in the women's triple jump. Hall soared 40'-5" and Dunaway had a top mark of 40'-3.25" in the outdoor opener.
The Golden Flashes' final three top 10 performances came in the 100-meter dash. Amryne Chilton clocked a time of 11.61 seconds for eighth in the women's race. In the men's race, Sean Callahan Jr. matched his personal-best time of 10.40 seconds for eighth and Jacob Stanley was right behind in 10.42 seconds for ninth.
Two runners recorded times that put them in the top 10 on Kent State's all-time performance list for their events. Karsyn Spears ran a personal-best time of 4:29.28 to claim the No. 8 spot in the women's 1500-meter run and Ainhoa Reparaz Sanchez clocked in at 11.84 seconds for the No. 10 spot in the women's 100m.
Additional standout performers for the Flashes on Friday were Grace Adegoke and Donovan Crawford. Adegoke cleared 5'-5.75" in the women's high jump and Crawford had a top throw of 156'-4" in the discus.
Action at the Raleigh Relays is scheduled to resume on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
