Last Time Out
The Golden Flashes look to bounce back from their most recent series falling in all three games at Northern Illinois University. The Golden Flashes dropped the opener 9-8 in heartbreaking fashion losing a late 8-5 lead as NIU rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh to walk it off. Caleigh Shaulis provided the offensive highlight with a three-run home run in the seventh that briefly appeared to be the game-winner. Game two saw Kent State surrender 15 runs on 14 hits in a run-rule loss. The Golden Flashes managed three runs on four hits. In the series finale, Kent State showed fight getting a home run from Ciara Camacho and a big day from Aaralyn Nogay (3-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs) but ultimately fell 10-4 as NIU built too large an early lead for the Flashes to overcome.
