Kent State Earns WBCA Academic Special Mention

ATLANTA — The Kent State women's basketball team earned a Special Mention by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association upon the WBCA's Academic Top 25 announcement on Wednesday.
The Golden Flashes posted an impressive 3.602 team grade point average for the 2025-26 academic year, which ranked second among Mid-American Conference programs. Kent State boasted a league-best eight Academic All-MAC honorees this past season.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women's basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2024-25 season is the 30th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
