KENT, Ohio — Kent State head coach Casey VanDamme and the Dr. Paula Treckel Women's Golf program today released the Golden Flashes' 2026-27 schedule, an 11-event slate that spans five states, a Canadian province, and the Dominican Republic before closing with the Mid-American Conference Championship in Akron.
Kent State enters the new season fresh off a 2025-26 campaign that saw the Golden Flashes finish ranked No. 32 in the nation and capture their 27th consecutive MAC Championship. The Flashes posted three runner-up finishes at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational, the Lady Luck Invitational, and the Blessings Collegiate Invitational. Along with a third-place showing at the Boilermaker Classic.
The slate opens Aug. 31-Sept. 1 at the Boilermaker Classic in West Lafayette, Indiana, a tournament where Kent State placed third out of 14 teams last fall. From there, the Flashes head north of the border for the Canadian Collegiate Invitational (Sept. 21-22) in Aurora, Ontario, where they finished second out of 12 a year ago.
October brings a three-tournament stretch, beginning with the Blessings Collegiate Invitational (Oct. 3-5) in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where the team finished second out of 10 teams in 2025-26. Kent State then travels to Medinah, Illinois, for the Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah (Oct. 12-13) before closing the fall portion of the schedule at the Landfall Tradition (Oct. 23-25) in Wilmington, North Carolina, where the Flashes finished 11th out of 18 last season.
The spring slate opens across international waters at the Purdue Tropical Challenge (Jan. 31-Feb. 2) in the Dominican Republic. Kent State returns stateside for the Spartan Suncoast Collegiate Invitational (Feb. 14-15) in Sarasota, Florida — a tournament the Flashes finished fifth out of 15 in a year ago — followed by the Lady Luck Invitational (March 1-2) in Las Vegas, where they were runners-up out of 14 teams last spring.
Kent State rounds out its regular-season tournaments with the Clemson Invitational (March 21-23) in Sunset, South Carolina, the site of a seventh-place finish out of 16 last season, and the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational (April 17-18) in Columbus, Ohio, where the Flashes placed third out of 18 a year ago.
The season concludes with the MAC Championship (April 25-27) in Akron, Ohio, as Kent State looks to defend its streak of 27 consecutive conference titles.
