Was all-state his junior and senior seasons for Penn Hills Senior High School under coaches Lee Zelkowitz and Calson Christian…was also named all-region his senior season as he was ranked first in Pennsylvania in the 400 meters for 10 meets…did not compete in the 400 meters until his senior year and his best time was 48.00…was named all-state in the 4x100-meter relay and all-conference in the 200 meters his junior year.
