2008-09 Freshman Season
Indoor Track and Field – Finished eighth in the heptathlon at the MAC Championships with 4,089 points…his time of 8.91 in the 60-meter hurdles at the Kent State Dual was his fastest of the season…also achieved a season personal-best in the pole vault by elevating himself 14’-7.25” at both the Kent State Dual and the Akron Dual…season personal-best long jump came at the MAC Championships with a mark of 20’-4.25”.
Outdoor Track and Field – Posted personal top pole vault result of the season at the Campbell-Wright Open with a height of 15’-1”…compiled a personal season-best 5,528 points in the decathlon at the All-Ohio Championships…his personal season-best finish in the 110-meter hurdles came at the Northeast Ohio Quad with a time of 15.87…tossed the javelin 154’-6” at the Weems Baskin Relays, a season personal best.
Prior to Kent State
Regional qualifier in the pole vault as both a junior and senior…established career-bests in the pole vault (15’-2”), 110-meter high hurdles (14.54 seconds), and long jump (20’-4”) as a senior at Berea High School.
Personal
Born Nov. 19, 1989…son of Phillip and Leslie Gore…plays the stand-up bass in the orchestra…majoring in business finance.
