GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Kent State Softball team (8-6) fell to the Spartans of the University of North Carolina Greensboro on Sunday afternoon by a final score of 3-2. A defensive game throughout, the Golden Flashes pushed two runs across late in the ball game falling just short to hosting UNCG.

The Golden Flashes wrapped up day one at the Coach Sykes Individual, with Darcy Hogg leading the charge, sitting 10th with a 135, good enough for 3-under-par. Hogg opened with an even-par 71 and is surging up the leaderboard with a 64 in the second round, through 17 holes.

Kent State Stuns #13 Tennessee 2-1 for Historic Victory

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Kent State baseball team pulled off a historic 2-1 victory over #13 Tennessee on Friday afternoon at Lindsey Nelson Stadium, earning its first win against a ranked opponent since 2022 and its first-ever victory over the Volunteers.
