2012 SEASON
• Qualified for the 2012 NCAA Divsion I Cross Country Championships
• Earned all-region honors with a 10th-place finish (31:07) at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional
• Has competed in all six meets this season
• Finished third at the MAC Championships, becoming first Kent State runner to earn all-conference honors four times
• Captured individual titles at the Tommy Evans Invitational (20:28) and Iona Meet of Champions (25:22.26)
• Runner-up at the All-Ohio Championships (24:37.15), placing first among Division I participants
• Finished fifth at the NCAA DIvision I Pre-National Meet, completing the course in 24:22.8
2011 SEASON
• During 2011 cross country season, garnered first-team all-MAC accolades with a fourth-place finish at MAC Championships (24:37)
• Was the team's top finisher in four of six events, including a 28th place finish at 2011 NCAA Great Lakes Regional
• Finished in the top ten in five of six events, including third-place at the Ball State Invitational, fifth-place at the Tommy Evans Invitational, fifth-place at the MSU Spartan Invitational, and eighth-place a the All-Ohio Championships
2010 SEASON
• During 2010 cross country season, garnered second-team all-MAC accolades with an 11th place finish at MAC Championships (25:06.3)
• Was the team's top finisher in two of five events, including a 50th place finish at 2010 NCAA Great Lakes Regional
• Finished sixth at the Buffalo Stampede and Falcon Invitational
PRIOR TO KENT STATE
• Received Academic All-Ohio honors as a senior at Stow-Munroe Falls High School
• Also received all-region honors and was a member of the SMFHS Northeast Ohio Conference River Division Cross Country Champions that same season for the Bulldogs
• Set the school record in the 1,600 meters with a time of 4:13.00
• Career-best in the 5K is 15:50.69
• Established personal-bests in the 800 meters (1:58.45) and 3,200 meters (9:28.00) for the Bulldogs
• Played basketball for three seasons before switching to distance running
• Crowned a regional champion in the 1,600 and placed third overall in the 3,200 meters as a senior
• Earned two letters in track and field and one in cross country
PERSONAL
• Son of Bob and Mary Ellen Heller
• Father was a four-year athlete in cross country and track and field at Kutztown State
• Older brother and sister also attended Kent State
• Majoring in exercise science
