• Member of Waikato Diocesan School 1st XI Field HockeyTeam since 2003 and was named captain in 2007
• Johl led Waikato Diocesan to a gold medal in 2005 at theNew Zealand College Games, and helped her squad to a first-placefinish in the Regional Interschools Girls Premier Gradecompetition
• Won the School Junior Sports Award in 2004, and MVP in2005 and 2006
• Captain of the U18 Waikato Regional Team and selected tothe U21 Midlands Team
• Also played cricket and soccer.
