
Kent State Field Hockey Announces 2026 Schedule

KENT, Ohio — Kent State field hockey will play 10 games at Murphy-Mellis Field, its largest home slate in a decade, as the entire 2026 schedule was announced on Wednesday.
The Golden Flashes will hit the road for the first two weekends of the, beginning with neutral site matchups against Lafayette (Aug. 28) and VCU (Aug. 30) that will be played at Northwestern. A trip to Ann Arbor will follow for contests against host Michigan (Sept. 4) and Vermont (Sept. 5).
A five-game homestand begins Sept. 11 against Michigan State, which will be the first of three Big Ten opponents to visit Kent, followed by a matchup with Delaware just two days later on Sept. 13. The next weekend will feature the start of Mid-American Conference play against Central Michigan on Sept. 18 and a non-conference contest against Bucknell on Sept. 20. The homestand concludes against UMass on Sept. 25.
Following a trip to James Madison on Sept. 27, the Flashes will return to Murphy-Mellis Field and host Bellarmine (Oct. 2), Ball State (Oct. 9) and Penn State (Oct. 11).
Three of the final five games will be played on the road against Longwood (Oct. 16), Miami (Oct. 23) and Ohio (Oct. 30). The final two home contests will be against App State (Oct. 18) and Ohio State (Oct. 25).
The MAC Tournament will be held Nov. 4-7 in Oxford, Ohio.
