Joe Hensel is in his first season as offensive graduate assistant at Kent State. Hensel's main focus will be with the offensive line.

Hensel spent the 2012 season as a graduate assistant at Cincinnati, helping the Bearcats to a share of a BIG EAST conference title. He spent the 2010 and 2011 seasons assisting with the offensive line at Ferris State.

A native of North Branch, Mich., Hensel played on the offensive line at Hope College, where he earned his bachelor's degree. He also spent two seasons coaching at the high school level at Holland and Lapeer East.
