Ted Bahhur returns to his alma mater for the 2013 season as the running backs coach on the Kent State staff.
Prior to Kent State, Bahhur spent the 2011 and 2012 seasons as the offensive coordinator at Chattahoochee Tech in Marietta, Ga.Â
From 2005-09 he was the head coach at Clark-Atlanta University, his second stint at the school. He posted a 20-29 record for a Panthers program that had gone 4-39 under the previous three coaches. During those four years, more CAU players earned All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors than the previous 20 years combined. Bahhur’s first stop with CAU was from 1998-2002, when he served as the running backs coach.Â
Bahhur was the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator for Tuskegee University for two seasons in 2003-2004. He helped the Golden Tigers advance to the Pioneer Bowl.
In 2002, Bahhur became the first head coach of the startup football program at Georgia State University, spawning an NCAA Division I FCS program that played its inaugural season in 2010.Â
Prior to Georgia State, Bahhur served as running backs coach at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan. from 1997-1998.
A native of Cleveland, Bahhur graduated from Kent State in 1992, earning a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He also began his coaching career at Kent State as a student assistant from 1985-1990.
Coach Bahhur is a member of the American Football Coaches Association. He and his wife, Sandy, have three children, Zayd, Tee, and Dean.
