Prior To Kent State
Was first-team all-district and district player of the year after leading Highland Springs High School to a 10-1 mark and the district title as a senior…also garnered honorable mention all-region and all-metro accolades, throwing for 2,245 yards and 27 touchdowns and rushing for 507 yards and five more scores…threw for 1,533 yards and 19 TDs while rushing for four more scores as a junior to earn first-team all-district, second-team all-region and honorable mention all-metro honors…led team to runner-up finish in the region in 2006…threw for 5,062 yards and 58 TDs in his career while rushing for 746 yards and 16 more scores en route to leading the team to a 27-7 record in three seasons…coached by Scott Burton…was a three-year letterwinner in baseball, playing first base and pitcher…was also a member of the track team, competing in the 440 relay and the long jump.
