• Played in 3 events on the season averaging, 79.9 strokes per round
• Tied for 10th at the Seahawk Intercollegiate

Prior to Kent State
• First Team All-State selection as a junior and placed third at the state tournament with a 148 (73-75)
• Earned Ohio Capital Conference and Central District Player of the Year honors
• On the amateur circuit, Phillips earned four top 10 AJGA finishes this past summer highlighted by the Columbus Junior in which he tied for fifth with a five-under 211 (70-68-73)
• Ranked the 94th best recruit by the American Junior Golf Association
• Carried a 4.0 G.P.A. at Mt. Vernon and was named an All-Ohio Scholar Athlete
