Gillian Streit was hired in January of 2025 and serves as an Athletic Trainer for the Cross Country and Track and Field teams.
Streit came to Kent State following a brief stint at The University of Tulsa working with the women’s basketball team and spirit squad, and assisting with Men’s Tennis.
Prior to The University of Tulsa, Streit served as an Intern Athletic Trainer at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. There, she worked with the men’s water polo and men’s gymnastics teams, while also assisting with men’s squash and football.
While attending Western Illinois University, Streit served as an external graduate assistant Athletic Trainer at nearby Knox College. There she worked with the volleyball, cross country, swimming and diving, and track and field teams.
Streit earned a Bachelor of Art in Athletic Training from Central College, Iowa in 2021 before earning a Master of Science in Kinesiology from Western Illinois University in 2023.
Streit is a certified athletic trainer through the Board of Certification and a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. She holds various certifications such as American Heart Association BLS Instructor, Hawkgrips HGP-1, and Dry Needling.
