2008-09 Sophomore Season

Indoor Track and Field – Member of the distance medley relay team that set the new school standard in the event and qualified for the NCAA Championships…the DMR team timed a 9:32.05 to set the new KSU record at the Alex Wilson Invitational…the DMR team timed a 9:42.61 at the NCAA Championships…earned First-Team All-MAC selection in the 800-meter dash with a 1:50.55 victory at the conference finals…also a member of the MAC-title winning 4x400-meter relay team that clocked a 3:12.01…member of the DMR team that took second in 9:48.70 at the MAC Championships…owned the team’s top time of season and the second-best in team history in the 800-meter run by clocking a 1:49.77 at the Kent State Tune-Up to earn MAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week accolades…recorded a season personal-best time of 49.05 in the 400-meter dash at the Kent State Tune-Up…earned MAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week distinction for his performance in the 800-meter run at the Akron Dual where he clocked a then-personal-best time of 1:52.04 to win the event…won the 600-meter run with a 1:18.61 finish at the Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup, a season personal best…member of the 4x400-meter relay team that clocked a 3:11.06 at the Tyson Invitational, the second-fastest time in school history…named First-Team Academic All-MAC.

Outdoor Track and Field – Qualified for the NCAA Mid-East Regional in the 800-meter run…finished 10th in the regional preliminaries with a time of 1:50.58, the team’s best time of season…garnered First-Team All-MAC recognition, winning the 800-meter run in 1:50.80 and taking part as member of the second-place 4x400-meter relay team that finished in 3:12.97…member of the distance medley relay team that the set new school standard with a time of 9:45.31 at Drake Relays…won the 800-meter run on three occasions (Weems Baskin Relays, Campbell-Wright Open, MAC Championships)…clocked a season personal-best time of 4:01.19 in the 1,500-meter run at Northeast Ohio Quad.

2007-08 Freshman Season

Indoor Track and Field - Placed sixth overall in themen’s 800 meters (1:59.58) at the 2008 MAC Championships…recorded aseason-best time in the 60 meters (7.44) at the Golden FlashGala…notched a season-best time of 49.89 in the 400 meters at theSykes-Sabock Challenge…registered the fastest time for the GoldenFlashes in the 800 meters when he crossed the line in 1:53.81 at theYoungstown State Dual…cleared a season-best height of 14’-1.25” in thepole vault at the Golden Flash Gala…recorded a season-best total in theheptathlon when he totaled 4,415 points at the Golden Flash Gala.

Outdoor Track and Field - Ran the third leg of the Golden Flashes’ 4x100 meter relay team that placed fifth overall with a time of 42.20 at the 2008 Mid-American Conference Championships…placed 10th in the 400 meters with a time of 55.15 at the same meet…recorded a season-best in the 400 meters (49.75) at the Jesse Owens Classic…ran a season-best 1:54.50 in the 800 meters at the All-Ohio Championships…top time in the 400 meter hurdles was a 55.15 at the conference championships.

Prior to Kent State

Holds school records in the boys 800-meter run and the pole vault...district champion and state qualifier in the 800 meters as a senior…finished eighth in the 800 at the state meet with a time of 1:54.43...won four letters in track and field, three more in cross country and one each in wrestling and diving at MWHS...coached by Mike James.
