2008-09 Freshman Season
Indoor Track and Field – Recorded his personal-best throw of season in the shot put with a toss of 51’-7” at the MAC Championships.
Outdoor Track and Field – Owned the team’s second-best discus throw of the season with a 165’-6” toss at the All-Ohio Championships…also responsible for the team’s second-best shot put toss of the season thanks to a throw of 52’-1.00” at the Gina Relays…took fifth in the discus throw at the MAC Championships with a toss of 150’-7”…also placed eighth in the shot put at the MAC Championships with a 51’-5.50” throw.
Prior to Kent State
A three-time Olympic All-American, he placed second at the 2008 Midwest Meet of Champions also placed second at the 2008 state meet in the discus…established personal-bests in the shot put (62’-7.5”) and the discus (186’-9”) at Midview High School...a two-time All-Ohio selection in track and field...also received All-Ohio honors in football as a senior for the Middies...earned four letters in track and field and three in football and one in basketball at MHS.
