2017-18 SEASON
• All-MAC Second Team
• WGCA All-American Scholar
• Finished the season with a scoring average of 74.79, the tenth best average in program history
• Compiled 69 birdies, ranking fourth behind her teammates
• Had five top-20 finishes and two top-10 finishes (Henssler Financial 8th, 2018 MAC Championship 6th)
• Shot lowest round of golf in her collegiate debut at the Jim West Challenge with a 69 in her opening round
• Best finish at the 2018 MAC Championship placing sixth with a 5-over 221 score
• Was in the lineup in the NCAA San Francisco Regional and NCAA Medal Championship
AMATEUR
• Ranked as the No. 1 junior golfer in the state of Ohio for the class of 2017
• Past qualifier for the USGA Girls Junior Championship and the Junior PGA Championship
• In 2016, she's secured two major top-5 finishes, going fourth at the 2016 OHSAA State Tournament and the Hudson Junior
• Eighth place finish at the 2016 North-South Championship at Pinehurst
• Earned Tom and Trudy Crawford Women's Golf Endowment
PERSONAL
• Daughter of Director of Athletics Joel Nielsen and Sharon Nielsen
• The third member of her family to join the Kent State women's golf team, following older sisters Kelly and Kasey
