General Notes: Back from an injury-plagued season...stronger with better skill set...long, athletic post who came from a very good junior college program...can be a dominating inside player this season.
2007-08: (Junior Season) Earned All-MAC Third Team honors...named Team MVP...was having a tremendous season before suffering a foot injury in late January...started 19 of the 24 games she appeared in...averaged 17.8 points and 9.1 rebounds per game before her injury...finished the season fourth in the conference with 14.5 points per game and third with 7.8 rebounds per game respectively, the only player to rank in the top 10 in both categories...led the team in scoring in 13 of the 18 games prior to her injury, including 11 of 12 games during one stretch...was 9-of-18 from the field and 9-of-11 from the charity stripe for 27 points and added a career-high 16 rebounds in her second game at KSU against Robert Morris Nov. 15, the first time in two years a player had 25 or more points and 15 or more rebounds in a game...scored a career-high 30 points on 11-of-16 shooting Jan. 19 versus Akron, including 8-of-12 from the line, the first time a KSU player scored 30 or more since Lindsay Shearer on Dec. 21, 2005...finished the season with eight double-doubles, the most since Shearer’s eight in the 2004-05 season, as well as six games with 20 or more points...finished 10th in the conference and 96th in the nation in field goal percentage at .476 (120-of-252)...fourth in the conference with 1.2 blocks per game...finished the season with 29 total blocks, including a stretch where she recorded four blocks in three of four games...added 23 assists and 17 steals...was also named MAC East Player of the Week twice, on Dec. 24 and then again on Jan. 14...named to the Rocky Mountain Invitational and the Highlander Christmas Classic all-tournament teams.
Prior to Kent State: Led the John A. Logan Lady Vols to a 23-9 record and the semi-finals of the Region 24 Tournament...averaged a double-double with 16.5 points and 10.7 rebounds per game...named to the All-Great Rivers Athletic Conference Team and earned All-Region 24 honors...earned all-section honors for three seasons for John F. Kennedy High School...played in the all-star game for the Chicago Public League after averaging 20 points and 20 rebounds per game her senior season...named to the all-area team her senior season...named the high school’s Most Valuable Player her junior and senior season...was coached by Diane Williams at John F. Kennedy...also lettered in volleyball and soccer in high school...coached by Marty Hawkins at John Logan.
