General Notes: Good athlete, strong...excellent scorer and very good rebounder...coaches believe she can be a very effective player.
2008-09: (Junior Season) Played in 11 games...tallied nine points and six rebounds...grabbed three rebounds in win over Maryland Eastern Shore (Jan. 3)...scored three points in Division I debut against Youngstown State (Nov. 15).
Prior to Kent State: Played two seasons at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas...averaged 18.2 points and 9.2 rebounds per game during the 2007-08 season, ranking among the top 20 junior college players in both categories...helped the Grizzlies to a 23-10 finish as freshman before earning All-America honorable mention as a sophomore...selected Region 4A Player of the Year in both junior and senior seasons at Northside High School...earned all-district and all-state (second team) distinction as a senior...garnered all-district and all-state honorable mention as a junior for the Eagles...was named Northside High School Athlete of the Year in both 2005 and 2006...played for Macon Hoops AAU team.
Personal: Full name is Lakeshia Rachelle Levi...born Dec. 25, 1987 on Travis Air Force Base, California...also lived in Italy and Japan during childhood...is the daughter of Linda Levi, who played basketball at Hinds Community College...has one sister Lacretia Jones...majoring in nursing and hopes to become a burn unit nurse.
