Tyrell Jamison joined the Kent State Volleyball staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2025 season.
Jamison served as head coach of the men’s team at LeMoyne-Owen during the program’s inaugural campaign this past year. He mentored outside hitter Alendy Sincoul to conference freshman of the year and all-conference second-team accolades. Additionally, three Magicians earned academic all-conference honors.
A recipient of the AVCA Diversity Coaches Award in 2021, Jamison spent the previous five years coaching at the college, high school and club levels. Notably, he was head coach for the Louisville Fury Volleyball Club’s 14 Navy team that placed 12th in the Classic Division at AAU Boys Nationals in 2022.
Jamison graduated from Claflin University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and earned a Master of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Louisville in 2020.
