2009-10: Went 3-2 at NCAA Championships...won 285-pound title at MAC Championships with overtime victory against All-American Jarod Trice (Central Michigan)...went 33-9 in his first season in the starting lineup, finishing third on the team in victories...also finished third on the team in major decisions with eight...recorded four pins, including one that gave KSU a 20-18 dual meet victory at Virginia Tech...all loses came against NCAA qualifiers, including four in overtime...won an individual title at Body Bar Invitational...finished third at the Hokie Open where he pinned NCAA qualifier John Danilkowicz (Virginia) in just 13 seconds...captured a fifth place at Oklahoma Gold Classic...finished 13-2 in dual meets and 2-1 in MAC duals...placed seventh at the Southern Scuffle...went 3-0 at Wendy's Duals.
2008-09: Went 20-6 on the year at heavyweight with 16 decisions, one major decision, one tech fall and one pin...placed in four tournaments on the season, taking first at the Ashland Open (11/15) and the Cleveland State Open (12/14)...finished second to teammate Jermail Porter at the Body Bar Invitational (11/22)...went 5-2 at the Southern Scuffle (12/29-30), including a close 5-4 loss to national top-10 heavyweight Mitch Monteiro of Cal State Bakersfield...took third at the FILA Junior Freestyle Tournament in Las Vegas (4/10-11).
2007-08: Redshirted his first season...finished with a 9-8 record with one fall, technical fall and major decision.
Prior to Kent State: Won sectional and district titles and placed in the OHSAA State Championships his final three years at Westerville Central...won a state championship his junior year and was runner-up his senior year for the Warhawks...took part in Nationals his senior year and placed second.
Personal: Born Dec. 4, 1988...son of Joseph and Jodell Barlow...has one older brother... besides wrestling, lettered all four years in football...volunteers as a little league wrestling coach...undecided on a major.
