2009-10: Earned All-American status with seventh place finish at NCAA Championships, where he was given a No. 3 seed...tied a Kent State single season record with 37 victories...suffered only three losses and carried a team best .925 winning percentage...his team-leading 13 pins tied for the fourth most in a season at KSU...tallied 11 major decisions and three technical falls...captured second straight MAC title at 184, winning all three matches by major decision...went 18-0 in dual meets and 5-0 in MAC duals...was ranked No. 1 by WrestlingReport.com and Takedown Wrestling...went 16-2 against NCAA qualifiers...was named Most Outstanding Wrestler after winning individual title at Oklahoma Gold Classic where he defeated former national champion Mike Pucillo (Ohio State)...also won championship at Body Bar Invitational...placed second at Southern Scuffle...began the year with a 17-match winning streak...carried an 18-match winning streak late in the season...named MAC Wrestler of the Week on Nov. 17...went 5-0 at Virginia Duals and 3-0 at Wendy's Duals...raised career win total to 97.
2008-09: Was named Mid-American Conference freshman of the year after going a perfect 5-0 in conference duals and easily won the 184-pound weight class at the MAC Championships...qualified for the NCAA championships and finished 2-2...led the team in wins with 33...besides the MAC Championships, won tournament titles at the Oklahoma Gold and the Southern Scuffle...took second at the Body Bar tournament...finished the season ranked fifth in the country...his three regular season losses were all to higher ranked wrestlers who had a combined regular season record of 83-2 (Jake Herbert of Northwestern 28-0, Mike Pucillo of Ohio State 19-1 and Kirk Smith of Boise State 36-1)...won his 50th match at Kent State against Brad Dieckhaus of Northern Illinois Jan. 24.
2007-08: Redshirted...wrestled to a 27-1 record as an unattached wrestler...won tournaments at Kent State, Cleveland State, Michigan State, Ashland, Edinboro and took second at Penn State...with a 5-2 record, earned All-American honors at the FILA Cadet Nationals...as an All-American, he qualified for the University World Team Trials held at the Olympic Training Center...with a 5-0 record, won a FILA Junior National Championship in Las Vegas...won first three matches at FILA Junior Championships by fall, all in the first period of the matches...knocked off 2008 NCAA All-American Kirk Smith from Boise State in the finals.
Prior to Kent State: Compiled a record of 149-20 in four seasons...finished in the top three at the OHSAA Championships his final three seasons for the Braves...won more than 30 matches every year in high school...won a state championship in his respective weight class his junior season and was a Junior National Champion...finished runner-up at the state championships his senior season and third at the Senior Nationals...finished third at state his sophomore year.
