• Placed third at the Body Bar Invitational, going 3-1 with a pin and a major decision
• Finished fourth at the Oklahoma Gold Classic
• Grabbed a seventh at the Southern Scuffle, going 4-2 with a pin and a major decision
• NCAA RPI rating was 25 entering MAC Championships
• Was ranked as high as No. 20 by Division 1 College Wrestling
• Scored a 13-1 major decision over NCAA qualifier Colton Salazar (Purdue) at Wendy's Duals
• Named to Academic All-MAC Team
• Named MAC Male Scholar Athlete of the Week on Feb. 19.
2008-09
• Was redshirted
• Went 33-9 in open tournaments at the 157-pound weight class with four falls, one technical fall and six major decisions
• Won the championship at 157 pounds at the first Ashland Harris Open (11/15) and the Cleveland State Open (12/14)
• Placed third at the Michigan State Open (11/9) and at the Simonson Open (1/24)
• Placed fifth at the Kent State Open (1/18) and sixth at the Body Bar Inviational (11/22).
Prior to Kent State
• Finished with a 153-17 record in four seasons with Big Spring High School
• The 153 wins are the most in school history and the 30 wins his freshman year are also a school record
• Was a sectional and district champion while also qualifying for state his sophomore, junior and senior seasons
• Placed sixth his sophomore season, third his junior season and was state champion his senior year in the Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Athletic Association State Wrestling Championships
• Helped the Bulldogs to a Mid-Penn Colonial wrestling titles in 2005 and 2008
• Coached by Richard Hilleary.
