Cameron Smith began working at Kent State in July of 2024. He works with the field hockey and track and field teams.
Smith began his career as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at San Jose State University from 2015 to 2017, working with the cross country and track and field teams. Following this role, he served as an Outreach Athletic Trainer at Select Physical Therapy in Las Vegas, Nevada. While there, he was responsible for working with student athletes at Basic Academy of International Studies. In 2018, Smith transitioned to King Kekaulike High School in Pukalani, Hawaii, where he played a vital role in the health and performance of student-athletes for five years.
Smith was hired at Cleveland Clinic in 2023. He began his Cleveland Clinic career working at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio, before joining Kent State University.
Smith holds a bachelor's degree in athletic training from University of Mount Union and a master's degree in Kinesiology from San Jose State University.
