Highlighting the long-term slate are a pair of three-game series with Iowa State University and the United States Naval Academy. Kent State will play at Iowa State in 2007 and 08, and then host the Cyclones at Dix Stadium in 2009 on a date to be announced. The Golden Flashes will face Navy at Annapolis in 2005 and 07 before playing host to the Midshipmen on Nov. 22, 2008.
Other road games that have been scheduled through 2009 include contests at the University of Iowa and Rutgers University in 2004, Michigan State University in 2005, and Virginia Tech and Vanderbilt University in 2006. Additional home games will be against Liberty University on Sept. 11, 2004, and Southeast Missouri State University on Sept. 10, 2005.
Single games still need to be added to complete the 2006 and 07 schedules, while two games are needed to fill the 2008 and 09 slates. NCAA rules allow 12 regular-season games during the 2008 season, one more than the traditional 11-game schedule.
