Womens Golf Fourth After Two Rounds at Lady Boilermaker

KENT, Ohio - Senior Gabby Wedding (Wilmington, Ohio/Wilmington) shot a two round score of 74-74=148 to lead the Kent State womens golf team into fourth place after two rounds of action at the 13-team Lady Boilermaker at the par-72 Kampen Golf Course in West Lafayette, Ind.
Kent State shot a combined 300-305=605 and are in striking distance of first place Northwestern who shot a combined 292-305=597. TCU (598) and Purdue (602) are second and third, respectively.
Weddings 148 is four shots back of three individuals tied for first with a two-round score of 144.
Tara Delaney (Fr., Carlow, Ireland) and Katie Williams (Jr., Cambridge, Ontario) are tied for 16th, each with a 75-77=152, while Becky Wood (Jr., Glossop, England) is tied for 21st with a 76-77=153. The 75 in the first round by Williams was her best round score of the spring season.
Final round action will conclude tomorrow.
