Former Flash Davis Set for Arena Bowl

Davis is currently in his third season in the AFL and his second as the back-up quarterback with the Crush. He threw for 110 yards and two touchdowns in five games during the season and had his best season in 2003 when he threw for 613 yards and eight touchdowns with the Indiana Firebirds.
A three-year starter at quarterback for the Golden Flashes from 1997-99, Davis is the school's second leading passer. He completed 552-of-1,000 passes for 6,722 yards in his career with a school-record 57 touchdown passes. He also is second all-time in total offense and had his best season in 1997 when he set KSU marks with 2,707 yards and 32 touchdowns. He held 18 different school records after his senior season and is still the school's all-time leader in pass efficiency and touchdown passes. He set a school and Mid-American Conference record with 551 passing yards in a 1997 game against UCF and threw for seven touchdowns that same year against Central Michigan.
A native of Bellaire, Ohio, Davis was the runner-up for Ohio Mr. Football honors and was a third-team Parade All-American in basketball at Bellaire High School.
The Crush, owned by NFL Hall of Famer John Elway, is in its third year of existence and playing in its first championship game. Kick-off for ArenaBowl XIX is set for 3 p.m. ET at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. The game can be seen nationally on NBC.
