The new marks continued in the men's 1500 meters. Joe Parker won the event with a new career best time of 3:57.46. The Golden Flashes went 1-2 in the 110-meter hurdles as Nick Ivancic and Greg Keys matched times of 14.65. Keys returned to the team after spring football drills and made an immediate impact.
Jaroslaw Zakrzewski continued his recent domination in the hammer throw on Friday night. He easily snatched another NCAA qualifier with a throw of 197 feet. The Golden Flashes also got regional marks in the shot put from Brent Shelby (56-03) and Evan Whiting (57-07.50). Jeremy Brading finished second in the pole vault with a jump of 16 feet and three-quarters of an inch.
The KSU women's team fared equally as well, especially in the hurdles. In the 400s, Gabriella Plocka and Rachel Crafton went 1-2 at the finish. Plocka finished at the 1:02.33 mark and Crafton at 1:04.57. In the 100 hurdles, Shatira Snell finished second with a final time of 14.30.
In the sprints, Andrea Bryson finished third in the 100-meter dash. Her final clip of 12.15 placed her four-tenths of a second off an NCAA regional mark. In the 200-meter dash, Stephanie Hunt finished third. She completed the event in 24.46 seconds, behind Corine Gavin-Hall of
