Track sends eight athletes to final meet before NCAA Championships

Fresh off the first Mid-American Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship in school history for the men's team and a second-place showing for the women's squad, several Golden Flashes will travel to South Bend, Indiana to compete at the Alex Wilson Invitational, hosted by the University of Notre Dame, on Friday (3/6) and Saturday (3/7).
One group of student-athletes who will make the trip to the Hoosier state is the men's distance medley relay team of John Minen, Curtis Eaton, Jr., Destin Heasley, and Tony Jordanek, who finished second at the MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 9:48.70. The Golden Flashes' quartet will try to solidify their standing heading into the 2009 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday (3/13) and Saturday (3/14) in
Joining the DMR squad for the Golden Flashes will be junior Jeremy Brading in the men's pole vault and classmates Jessica Lhotsky and Kelly Gephart in the women's 800 meters and women's mile respectively. Freshman Audrey Maheu will also compete in the women's mile.
