Women's Golf Preview - Kent State Makes First-Ever Appearance at Oklahoma's Susie Maxwell Berning

The Kent State women’s golf team will make its inaugural appearance at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic Oct. 15-17, hosted by the University of Oklahoma.
The three-day event will feature 18 holes each day; first and second rounds will feature tee times, with a shotgun start slated for Wednesday’s third round. Kent State will start from the No. 1 tee on Monday, paired with host Oklahoma and Redlands Community College.
Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club is a par-72 course that will play 6,327 yards for the tournament. Team scoring will be in a traditional “five-score-four” format for each round. Live stats will be available through golfstatresults.com.
Scouting the Flashes
Kent State will have six golfers in action at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic: five competing for the team’s score, and one individual.

Scouting the Tournament Field
Kent State is one of 18 teams competing in the 2012 Susie Maxwell Berning Classic. Joining the Golden Flashes and the host Sooners are Coastal Carolina, Denver, Kansas, Kansas State, Kennesaw State, Middle Tennessee, New Mexico, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Redlands CC, South Florida, SMU, TCU, Texas State, Texas Tech and Tulsa.
