Mid-American Conference Play Begins This Weekend

Kent State (4-7) opens Mid-American Conference play on Friday (Oct. 4) as they host Missouri State (2-7) at 1:00pm to kick off Homecoming weekend. The Golden Flashes will also wrap up the weekend's festivities as they host No. 10 Northwestern on Sunday (Oct. 6) at noon.
The Matchups: Missouri State
• Kent State is 21-4-1 all-time against Missouri State.
• The Golden Flashes have won nine of the last ten meetings, including a 4-3 overtime win in Springfield a year ago.
• Kent State has won their last six conference openers.
No. 10 Northwestern
• Kent State is 4-5 all-time versus Northwestern.
• The Golden Flashes fell 0-8 last season on the road in Evanston.
