
Golden Flashes Compete at 2013 NCAA Great Lakes Regional

Women's Results
VERONA, Wis. - The Kent State men's and women's cross country team competed at the 2013 NCAA Great Lakes Regional this afternoon hosted by the University of Wisconsin. The men finished 15th overall on the 10-kilometer Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course, while the women placed 25th on the 6-kilometer course.
The Golden Flashes men, who tallied 445 points, were led by Andrew Goodwin's 44th place finish with a 31:33. Matt Kahl followed with a 32:19 (70th), Jared Fleming with a 32:57 (96) and Grant Onken with a 33:06 (105th). Logan Kettlewell rounded out the scorers for Kent State with a 33:31 (130th), and also competing was Samuel Allen with a 35:08 (184th).
The women's squad, who combined for 716 points, were led by sophomore Rachel Slingluff's 22:25 (98th). Melinda Sawnor followed with a 22:52 (124th) and junior Paige Foster finished with a 23:12 (148th). Rounding out the scoring for the Golden Flashes was Tabitha Jacofsky (23:21-160th) and Taylor Wickey (23:58 – 186th).
