Phaewchimplee Repeats as MAC Golfer of the Week

Kent State's Wad Phaewchimplee earned Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week honors for the second consecutive tournament as announced by the MAC on Wednesday.
Faced with poor weather for the final day, the participants of the Jim West Challenge were faced with a 36-hole final day at the event on Monday. Phaewchimplee stepped up to the challenge, posting a tournament-low score of 67, 5-under par in the second round and following it up with a 71, 1-under par to finish at 2-under to win the tournament. She was the only golfer to shoot under par in the event with the second-place finisher coming in at even. This is the second consecutive MAC Golfer of the Week award for Phaewchimplee, who also grabbed the honor after a 7th place finish at the Mercedes Benz Intercollegiate two weeks prior.
The team will be back in action in the spring beginning with the Lady Puerto Rico Classic Feb. 15-17.
