Kent State to Compete Against Large Field at Kiawah Island Classic

Kent State will compete as part of a 36-team field at the Kiawah Island Classic from Sunday-Tuesday (Mar. 2-4).
The Golden Flashes enter the tournament with the highest Golfstat and GolfWeek rankings of the 36 teams. The field consists of: Arkansas State, Bethune Cookman, Boston College, Boston University, Bucknell, Charleston Southern, Chattanooga, The Citadel, College of Charleston, Delaware, Elon, Florida Golf Coast, Georgetown, High Point, Jacksonville State, Loyola Chicago, Marshall, Newberry, Niagara, North Florida, Northern Kentucky, UNC-Greensboro, Penn State, Radford, Richmond, Rutgers, Samford, St. John's, Tennessee Tech, Towson, Troy, USC Upstate, Western Kentucky, William & Mary and Wyoming.
Josée Doyon, Natalie Goodson, Jennifer Ha, Erin Hawe and Wad Phaewchimplee will make up Kent State's lineup. They will play at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort on the Cougar Point and Oak Point Courses at Kiawah Island, South Carolina. Both courses have a par of 72.
The first round of action begins with double tee times on both courses from 9:45am to 12:06pm on Sunday (Mar. 2). Second round tee times are from 9:00am to 11:15am on Monday (Mar. 3), with the final round coming on Tuesday (Mar. 4) in a 9:00am shotgun start. The top 19 teams will make the championship cut at Cougar Point while the other teams will play the flight championship at the Oak Point course.
