Kent State Prepares to Face Pittsburgh at Home on Wednesday

Kent State (22-12) will look to bounce back from its recent loss when Pittsburgh (16-19) comes to Schoonover Stadium for a 6:00pm game on Wednesday (Apr. 16).

KENT STATE - PITTSBURGH HISTORY
• Kent State is 35-35 all-time against Pittsburgh.
• Last season, the Golden Flashes broke a tie game in the 9th to beat the Panthers 6-5 on their home turf. Pittsburgh was ranked No. 16 in the nation at that time.
• In 2012, the teams split the two meetings, each winning their home game 6-5.
• Kent State's 2011 team took the away contest by a score of 10-7 then beat Pittsburgh at home 9-5.

• Kent State currently ranks in the top 25 nationally in a few statistical categories.

• Zalewski and Miklos also sit one and two in hits. Miklos is 3rd in runs, 2nd in doubles, 2nd in triples, 1st in total bases, 2nd in on-base percentage and 1st in slugging percentage. Zalewski is 1st in on-base percentage.
• Cody Koch is 4th in the conference in RBI and 3rd in runs scored.
• Lauer also leads the MAC in wins and opposing batting average.
