Gordon Named MAC Track Athlete of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Kent State sophomore Wayne Gordon was named Mid-American Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week announced Tues., April 8 by the conference office.

Gordon earned the award for his finish at the Northeast Ohio Quad at Akron on Fri., April 4. He took first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.22.

His 10.22 puts him third on the Kent State All-Time Top Performers list while he sits atop the MAC. Gordon is 6th in the NCAA East Region and 8th in the NCAA Combined.

The Golden Flashes return to action Fri., April 11th and Sat., April 12th when they travel to Knoxville, Tenn. to take part in the Tennessee Relays.
