Finn Earns MAC Golfer of the Week Honors

The Mid-American Conference announced Thursday that Kent State's Michaela Finn has been chosen as the Women's Golfer of the Week.
In just the second tournament of her collegiate career, Finn earned co-individual medalist honors against a tough field at the Jim West Challenge this week. She opened with a 71, 1-under par round, followed by a 69 in the second round. On the final day, she remained under par by shooting 71 to finish in a tie for first place at 5-under. The freshman was even on all par threes, shot 2-under on par fours and was 3-under on par fives throughout the event. She finished third in the field with 38 pars and 9th with 11 birdies through the three rounds.
Finn is the second Golden Flash to win the weekly MAC honors this season through just three tournaments. The team will finish the fall season October 19-20 in Texas.
