Women's Basketball Faces First Road Test Thursday at IPFW

Women's basketball (1-1) will face its first road test of the season when it travels to Fort Wayne, Indiana, for a 7 p.m. contest against IPFW (2-0) on Thursday.

The Matchup
• This will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams
• IPFW has opened up the season 2-0 after a 82-62 victory over Trine and a 91-39 win versus Grace
• Josie Fisher leads the Mastodons in scoring by averaging 20.5 points per game
• KeShyra McCarver and Courtney Ogie have each grabbed a total of 14 rebounds through the opening two games
• IPFW finished last season at 9-21 overall and 3-13 in Summit League play
Last Time Out
• The Golden Flashes are coming off a tough battle with Wright State, losing 73-68 on Tuesday afternoon
• Kent State maintained a slight lead throughout most of the first half, leading 16-15 at the end of the first quarter and 36-33 at halftime
• The Golden Flashes' lead grew to as much as seven in the fourth quarter, but a 16-4 run by the Raiders in the final 2:29 allowed them to escape with the win
• Tyra James notched 20 points in the effort while bringing in seven rebounds and three steals

• Kent State and its opponents have both averaged 72 points through two games

Home Court Advantage
