Flashes Take to the Road to Face Bradley Tuesday Night

Kent State (3-4) hits the road for the second time this season as it travels to Bradley (3-4) for an 8 p.m. EST contest on Tuesday night.

• This will be the first meeting between the two programs
• Bradley is 3-4 this season with wins over Detroit, Eureka and Chicago State. They fell this season to Bowling Green, Oklahoma, Western Michigan and Illinois-Chicago
• The Braves are averaging 63.1 points this year with 38.6 rebounds
• They are led by Anneke Schlueter who is scoring 12.4 points per game

• The Golden Flashes' all-time leading scorer Bonnie Beachy, a cancer fighter herself, served as the honorary coach and was lauded doing the game
• A strong defensive effort led Kent State to the win as they forced 34 turnovers out of foe North Dakota State with the help of 20 steals
• Jordan Korinek was the high-scorer in the contest with 27 points and seven rebounds
• Tyra James and Larissa Lurken each had 15 points
• Naddiyah Cross finished with ten points and a team-high eight assists
Conference Season Closing In
• With three more games left on the non-conference schedule, Kent State is nearing Mid-American Conference play
• The Golden Flashes were picked to finish in a tie for 5th place in the East Division in the preseason coaches poll, tied with Buffalo
• The Bulls currently lead the East at 6-2 while Kent State is tied with Akron in 5th place at 3-4 overall
• Ball State and Western Michigan currently lead the West Division at 5-2
• The Golden Flashes begin MAC play on January 2nd at Central Michigan
• Kent State currently leads the MAC in steals while it ranks 5th in free-throw percentage, 4th in three-point field goal defense, 5th in assists and it has the 2nd-best turnover margin
