Flashes Recognized by USTFCCCA for 2015 Season

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Kent State's track and field programs were recognized by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) with All-Academic honors to 10 individuals and to both the men's and women's teams, announced last week on July 17th.

There were 347 total teams (224 women's | 123 men's) honored by the USTFCCCA while there were a total of 1,367 individuals (838 women | 529 men) to earn USTFCCCA All-Academic for the past 2015 season.
The Golden Flashes men's team recorded a 3.07 GPA this past year as the women's team had a 3.44 GPA.
Among the 10 individuals were seven from the women's team – Lauren Burnett, Dior Delophont, Morgan Estes, Taylor Farquhar, Anna Lombardo, Danniel Thomas and Sam Tollerud – while the three remaining were from the men's team – Isaiah Conkle, Miles Dunlap and Jesse Oxley.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met at least one of the following athletic standards:
• For the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org
• For the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, teams had to record a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or higher.
