Kent State's women's golf program has announced the addition of transfer Amira Alexander to the 2015-16 roster. Alexander previously competed at the University of Georgia where she finished with a 75.67 average this past season, second lowest on the team.
"We are very excited to have Amira join us," said Head Coach Greg Robertson. "She's a driven player and a quality person who played at a high level in the SEC over the last three years. There's no doubt she'll add to the depth of our team and bring a lot of experience and leadership qualities to the program. We feel very fortunate that this worked out for us, and we're looking forward to a great year with her."
During her junior campaign, Alexander played in seven tournaments with three top-ten finishes, including a 6th-place finish at the Cardinal Kickoff. She contributed a team-best 96.4 percent counting rounds for the Bulldogs and also represented the U.S. Virgin Islands at the Central American and Caribbean Games last November. Alexander will be eligible for competition immediately for the upcoming season.
