Flashes to Conclude MAC Play on the Road Before Returning Home

The Golden Flashes (9-5, 5-0) conclude conference play on Friday at Ohio (6-8, 3-1) before returning home to host Lock Haven (9-5) on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
Because of football also playing home on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. there will be a $5 charge for parking in both lots adjoining Dix Stadium.

Ohio
• Kent State is 47-26-2 all-time against Ohio
• The Flashes have won six out of the last eight meetings, including the past four straight
• The last two KSU losses came on the road in overtime
• Last season, Kent State won 2-1 at home in the regular season and then beat the Bobcats 2-1 in the MAC Tournament semifinal
• Ohio has not lost to Kent State on its home turf since a 4-1 defeat in 2010
Lock Haven
• Kent State is 7-8-1 all-time against Lock Haven
• The last meeting between the two teams was in Lock Haven where the Flashes fell 1-0 in overtime in 2013
• The Bald Eagles won in Kent in 2012, 4-2

More Awards for Delpech, Harmatz
• Kent State's players once again proved they were top-notch as Alison Harmatz and Ines Delpech were named the MAC's Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, for their performances last weekend
• For Harmatz, it was the third consecutive honor and fourth this season
• She scored to tie the game at Miami and set up the final scoring play for the Flashes to take the game in overtime. She added in an assist at No. 7 Louisville to give Kent State a 2-0 lead on Sunday
• Delpech continued to anchor down an intense defensive presence and be a force on the field for every team she faces
• Against Miami, Delpech helped limit the RedHawks to just three shots on goal. She tallied the first goal of the game on Sunday against Louisville and did not allow the top-ranked team to take a lead until just minutes remained
MAC Implications
• At 5-0 in the MAC, Kent State has clinched at least a share of the regular season title, making it five championships in a row for the Golden Flashes (regular season and tournament in 2014 and regular season and tournament in 2015)
• Despite the outcome in any other MAC games for the rest of the year, a win on Friday will hand Kent State an outright championship and the No. 1 seed in the 2017 MAC Tournament
• The Golden Flashes were the No. 1 seed last season when the won the tournament
• The 2016 MAC Tournament will be held in Kent, Ohio November 4-5
• The remaining teams have yet to clinch and final seeding won't be decided until the final weekend of competition

• The Golden Flashes have special stickers on their sticks with the initials H.H. in honor of Harmatz's father, Howard, who passed away from a brain tumor this summer
