Women's basketball (3-4) returns to the M.A.C. Center Wednesday night as it hosts Fort Wayne (1-5) in a 7 p.m. game.

• Larissa Lurken broke numerous records last week which led to her being named MAC East Player of the Week
• She scored her 1,000th point against No. 5 Baylor to join 19 other Golden Flashes that accomplished the feat in their career
• With a three in overtime against Western Kentucky she became Kent State's career leader in threes with a current total of 163
• Her 39 points against WKU set a new career best and broke the record for the Gulf Coast Showcase
• She went 22-for-25 at the free throw line in that game, which were both new Kent State single-game records
• She was named to the Gulf Coast Showcase All-Tournament Team alongside some of the best current players in women's basketball
Tournament Recap
• Kent State went 1-2 at the Gulf Coast Showcase this past week, a tournament that featured four ranked programs
• In the opener on Friday, the Flashes fell 84-42 to No. 5 Baylor, the eventual tournament champion
• On Saturday, they battled Western Kentucky, a team that received votes in both national polls to start the week, into overtime
• The Flashes lost to the Lady Toppers 79-73
• Kent State came out with a win in the final game on Sunday as they took down Florida Gulf Coast 77-64
