Women's basketball (5-18, 2-11) returns to the M.A.C.C. Saturday night for a 5 p.m. matchup with East Division for Bowling Green (8-14, 4-9).

The Matchup
• Kent State is 30-48 all-time against Bowling Green
• Earlier this season, the Golden Flashes fell 71-49 at the Stroh Center, as the Falcons connected on 15 threes in the contest on 29 attempts
• Last season, Kent State won both meetings, 55-48 at home and 62-58 on the road
• Prior to that, Bowling Green had won the previous eight meetings
• The Falcons' other MAC wins this year were at Miami, home against Northern Illinois and home against Eastern Michigan
• Lauren Tibbs is their leading scorer, averaging 12.0 points a game
• Tibbs also leads in rebounding with an average of 7.0
O'Banion Named USBWA Most Courageous Award Winner
• The U.S. Basketball Writers Association announced Monday that Head Coach Danielle O'Banion has been named the Pat Summitt Most Courageous Award Winner for women's basketball
• The award is given annually to honor players, coaches, officials or administrators in college basketball who have demonstrated extraordinary courage in the face of adversity
• O'Banion earned the recognition after her brave fight with Stage 2 lymphoma during the 2014-15 season
• She will receive her award at the NCAA Women's Final Four in Indianapolis on April 3
If the Tournament Started Today…
• If the Mid-American Conference were to start today, Ohio would be the No. 1 seed with a 12-1 record
• Central Michigan would be the No. 2 at 11-2
• Also receiving byes would be Ball State and Toledo, as they are both 9-4
• Kent State would be the No. 12 seed and travel to either Akron, Eastern Michigan or Western Michigan as those three teams would fill out the 5-7 seeds
• From the bottom up, Northern Illinois and Miami would be the 10 and 11 seeds while Buffalo and Bowling Green would be 8 and 9
• MAC play ends on March 5. The Golden Flashes have five regular season games remaining
